The “Gujarat State Highway Project ” represents a milestone in the State Government’s program of improved transportation in Gujarat.

Undertaken by the Roads and Building Department, the project was initially conceived in the 9th 5-year plan in order to address the growing transportation needs accompanying rapid economic growth in Gujarat.
